We arrived in Santorini and it was as beautiful as it is in the photos with the blue domes and the white buildings. We found an amazing spot to have lunch, and of course a drink, which seemed to hang off the cliff front - probably why the bill was quite large for what we had but hey ho we are on holiday. Not much else to tell you about apart from it is a stunning island.
The next day we sailed to Read on...
Thanks to our beloved Qantas weve got another day here in Perth, so we head back up to Kings Park. It seems that were here during the annual Kings Park Festival which is apparently timed to coincide with the blossoming of wildflowers in the south west of the State. We walk up through the Parks Western Australian Botanic Garden which we read displays more than 3,000 species of the States unique flo Read on...
I need to get up early to try to repack my entire belongings into 1 manageable pack from which to work from for this next chapter of the trip- it takes an hour to create order from the explosion of my stuff from yesterday. Head down the stairs for an early breakfast- it is too early for Marians so sit in the garden for a bit until the kitchen guy is organised. Eggs, coffee, yoghurt, muselei, chees Read on...
A good and bad day. Firstly, the bad. Ive had bad toothache for the last few days and despite many tablets it is not improving so the first thing we did today was to find an emergency dentist and made an appointment for 3pm. That was good as it gave us time to visit the places we wanted to see. My tooth needed the root canal done so the initial treatment has been done and further followup will be Read on...
We only have two days in Malaga so we had better get a move on! The hotel has a very nice buffet breakfast and we are hungry so we are another hour on before we are ready.
We emerge on to the deserted Sunday street outside our hotel. The heat hits us like a blast. We thought it would be cooler here by now? We are walking to the Centro Histrico, its about half an hour on foot. We start off by the Read on...
So its a big day today, a bus trip to the mighty Niagara Falls. And we know this because at last count weve received 19 reminders from the via email and text, and I think I might have even seen a carrier pigeon lurking outside the window earlier this morning. I suppose its just vaguely possible that you might forget that youd booked a tour to one of the worlds great natural wonders, but surely onl Read on...
We started slightly after 8.00 and arrived 9 hours and 100 km later in Lagos. We stopped twice, for coffee and lunch and battery charging for at least 1.5 hours. No real rush.
The road was diverse: regular roads and rocky/sandy roads and paths. On more than one occasion, we had to get off our bikes and walk some distance which is not pleasant with heavy bikes.
I slipped and fell on 2 occasions, Read on...

Well it was time to save and publish another few days of blogs so if you have not been following on your own you might want to resume from Day 18 posted a few days ago.
Alarm went off at 7.45am and I headed straight to the window and I saw clouds with what appeared to be a resemblance of blue sky as well. Yippee. We did most of the packing last night and we had minimal breakfast supplies in the r Read on...
Sunday: Went Hiking with Copper at Hidden Mesa Open space. It was a nice 4.2 mile loop trail. At first we seemed to be hiking into a thunderstorm but the thunderstorm continued to move west faster than we were hiking. It was clear blue skies to the east and dark thunderous sky to the west. Very odd.
Monday: I went to a meetup at a game store nearby. Met some new folks and learned 3 new games and Read on...
