Greetings from London. It is the beginning of the summer holidays, and I am once more on the eve of an epic summer journey. Although I have done summer journeys for the last two years, these were both based in the UK, and thus this is my first epic travel adventure abroad since 2019. I am excited.
Tomorrow I head up north, to begin a week trip around Scandinavia. I first fly to Oslo where I will Read on...
We had a very exciting morning game drive! We saw lots of zebras, an elephant herd with several baby elephants, lions mating, and a big group of hippos!
We enjoyed a very nice breakfast our lovely camp (they have fruit, little pastries, cereals, an egg station, and hot plus excellent coffee). It was another lovely sunny day, but with a cooling breeze. We headed out on our morning game drive at 8 Read on...
On the road again this time to another site near Rouen. We are making our way back home and cannot decide whether to get the ferry or the tunnel let alone what time we are going to cross. The journey to this campsite was a bit different as we needed to get a ferry across to Jumieges where our next site is and then found out that the height limit was 3 metres. Well our rig is 2.89 metres and then a Read on...

Make time to do something kind for yourself . That was not on my calendar . It was in a list of things someone once told me to do to cheer myself up since we were locked down by Covid . I had forgotten about it to be honest . There must have been thirty things to occupy your mind and I remembered none of them until this morning . Perhaps today my making time for doing something kind for myself was Read on...
On a misty French morning, a storm decided to knock trees onto the train track which blocked all trains going from France to Italy, and therefore our train from Lyon to Florence. So we had to train from Lyon to Switzerland and then to Florence. It was a very nice train ride because Switzerland was very pretty because of the mountains. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit Switzerland, but we di Read on...
It is literally supposed to rain the rest of my week so fingers crossed its just mist / light rain and nothing too bad so I can still actually see to enjoy the views lol.
Staying in Stranda at a swanky enough place and had an amazing breakky - it was simple (guac, toast, Stranda ham which was basically bacon, fried tomato and egg) but so so good. I then went to park in the car ferry lane and just Read on...
We started the day strategizing what we wanted the afternoon lesson to be for the group we met with last week. During that seession, we played the ‘bean game and it was understood by the women. But, they were asking good questions so we decided to try a new game with them. This time they would be placed into small groups and given a monthly budget. They needed to decide how to spend their money Read on...
