Most of you who know me, know that I travel with my good buddy, Mr. Mike, or I travel solo. Mike is the BEST travel buddy ever. We are not joined at the hip when we travel, though we have similar interests. And we never, I repeat, never, talk about money!! But perhaps you would like a different perspective on solo travel, other than mine. I had the benefit of traveling solo on business throughout Read on...
Today it rained virtually the whole day. We still walked most of the route, stopping to make a decision before each section.
We drove through Devon lanes, i.e., hedges close on both sides of the road – close enough to brush the van most of the time. On the moor the wind blew the rain horizontal, over the tops of the hedges and more or less above the van.

On Friday night I set my alarm for 6am to make sure I wasnt late for my 7am booking. Awake in the morning and ready with plenty of time to spare, I headed out to the airstrip for my scenic flight. There was a minimum of 2 people on the flights, so I had booked onto a flight that already had someone booked in. However, when I got there the other person (or people) never showed, so I was left with t Read on...

We are back in Paris for the last leg of our trip. We rented a one bedroom Airbnb apartment in the Opera district. We are on the fourth floor but we can still hear and feel the underground metro. On the upside we are half block from the metro station and we have earplugs to block the noise. We have been to Paris multiple times this trip and years ago so we decide to do something different and that Read on...
