We set off to Cycle Journeys this morning to rent bikes for the day. A smile by me because an ebike was available. Cycle Journeys now have quite a large operation in Twizel and it seems to be running a very good, helpful business. After some advice on a route to take near Twizel we set off on a cloudy and coolish morning. We took the route used by the A2O trail through to the canals and then hung Read on...

We docked at a small town just outside Cologne first thing this morning. After breakfast, we walked about a quarter mile in driving rain to three buses for a ride into the city. Cologne is Germanys fourth largest city. The rain abated just as we started a Cologne Past and Present tour led by a gregarious and knowledgeable guide named Shiva who was from the Philippines. The island of Brac is located 15 km (representing a 50 minute ferry ride) off the coast of Split in the Adtiatic sea. To get there we had to board a Jadrolinija ferry and did this with our car. Nenad has been to Brac quite a few times with a yacht when sailing the archipelago of islands, but always stayed only in the marina of the town of Milna for an overnight stay. So he was looking forward visi Read on...
