I was quite shocked in to land to see that much of the island appeared to be urban. Turns out the southern portion of the island is largely one big conurbation. The few patches of green within it are gen Read on...

The city was small, more like Delhi but refined with architecture showing Read on...

In Sydn Read on...
Make a list of all the things that make you feel grateful and happy. I read that somewhere and it made me think . Perhaps we dont make lists anymore . No lists for shopping. No lists of the things we need to do during the day. So today I thought I would make a list of those things that did make me smile . And I could do that on the way to Overton . We had an appointment in the village at 10.20 and Read on...
Owing to the inclement weather in Mission Beach, which lies in the wet tropics, we opted to head for Townsville, which lies in the dry tropics, and thus, enjoyed fine weather for our planned seven day stay, which we stretched out to eleven days. We stayed at the Riverside Convention Centre Caravan Park, which is a church owned park, conveniently located along Townsvilles main river and relatively Read on...
The Abbey Hotel in Donegal is very large, very busy and has great staff but room service must be very slow since we didnt get our rooms until 5pm. It is a good job we werent wet through and needing a shower. The evening meal made up for it with good quality food and a pleasant waiter. Leaving Sligo in the morning was pleasant enough under a blue sky alongside the river and wading birds. The hill Read on...
