I am relaxing in our B&B with a coffee, while I start the blog. We have a couple of hours before we head off for our gay pub tour tonight, which should be a lot of fun (well, maybe it would have been, but the guide never showed up, more on that later).
So, we had a bit of an issue with our covid test results (not what you think, we were both negative!). But the issue was with accessing our result Read on...
I took a day off today and probably will tomorrow. off – just that I did the short walk, which was just over six miles. A sinus infection is plaguing me, and I thought a more restful day would help. Actually, I thoroughly enjoyed the tourism involved in this walk, which is why I may take the short itinerary tomorrow also. Weather is much milder here than in the Lake District. The wind blows to Read on...
The next morning after a delicious breakfast (ham and eggs), we got on the bus to head to our hike for the day. The drive up was just gorgeous. It was hard to get a good photo at times, but the winding roads, mountains, geology, sheep - just beautiful. We were initially supposed to hike Bobotuv Kuk, the highest point, and our guide showed us where we would have started. We continued on, and finall Read on...
We flew out of Oakland on Thursday morning. Southwest internet was out but no problem I had downloaded a movie on Prime just in case. The flight was exactly the length of the movie so time went by fast. As we were looking for something to eat we ran into our neighbors Greg and Michele. They were headed home after a trip to Sedona. They gave us some tips and some maps. Thank you Michele and Greg. W Read on...

Day one in Gulf Shores. Breakfast at the Waffle House. Kids have been begging to go to a Waffle House. About as expected. Typical breakfast. Good service. Pedro took the truck through a car wash and then tried out the floor mat cleaner. Drove to the bike trail and unloaded the bike. Lori rode back to Morgantown. First part of the ride was on the trail and the remainder on the road. Sunny and cool. Read on...
This is my second winter of The New Year came in like a lamb - unseasonably warm (15 degrees in some places) and I was actually in bed but awake at Midnight and watched the fireworks over the Thames on my laptop. Kenji sent a New Year message , and Stevie in Tokyo and Maureen in Worcester.
It was good to have some purpose in getting up this morning. I did some yoga, had a shower and waited for C Read on...
Driving home for Christmas. I was beginning to think we were starting to put this whole pandemic business behind us and I could stop mentioning the C word. Alas, here we go again or more to the point - here we dont go again! When we can book any trip with confidence, all of a sudden looks further away from us than ever. We are back to waiting on the word of TFB, as to whether further restrictions Read on...
