Forgot to mention yesterday that campsite is Camping la Masia. There is another campsite on the next road to the sea which is also open, cheaper and more basic but this suits us fine now while it is pretty empty. Wouldnt consider it in season. Quite expensive really considering all we have is a safe place to park, water and electric. Wifi is on top of that ($12 for 3 days, one device) and though there are toilets, rubbish and chemi loo disposal 100 yards away the nearest showers are more like 250 metres. We are therefore using the shower in the motorhome and assume 95% of the campsite residents must do the same. All other campsite facilities are not yet open.... restaurant, shop, pools.....not a problem but as I said, a bit pricey really. We have noticed that there are a lot of people working away getting the campsite ready for the season, chopping trees, painting, refurbing toilet blocks etc. Wonder when the season proper starts here but have nobody to ask. No other Brits on this site and possibly none in this town either. Not sure how far it is but far enough as I had forgotten my new mules had not been broken in so was being very careful not to get a blister. Very pleasantly surprised by the It looks as if the entire promenade area has been redone recently. All very clean and neat. It very wide once at the town proper and quite a large market. Bob bought himself a new belt and I got a new mini handbag as by chance, the zip had just broken on mine. We enjoyed our stroll. Weather extremely pleasant, really pretty warm and our fleeces were soon off and tied round our waists. Everyone else was wrapped up against the winter in padded jackets and some with woolly hats too. We wonder what they wear when it is actually cold ? Stopped for lunch at the Buggy restaurant and practiced a little of my little Spanish. Actually know lots of words but putting them together into sentences is a different matter entirely. I did manage to say I would like to pay the bill please and got a Muy Bien for that. Most of the restaurants are located at the other side of the road from the promenade and they then have covered dining areas on the promenade itself. Plenty of places to chose from and we were happy with ours but podged from lovely food afterwards ! We needed drinking water for the motorhome and the supermarket on the campsite and those just outside the campsite are all closed. Delighted to find that supermarkets in town dont keep siesta hours so we found one which was open for the water and a beer top up for Bob. Shopping a bit heavy for the quite long walk back to the campsite and my feet in the mules said no so really pleased to find a line of taxis just waiting for us and at $6 for the trip back to the campsite we were happy.
