Looking for a peaceful beach to unwind, heal spiritually, and soak up some sun, ushered me to on the Big Island Hawaii. Kona pleasantly surprised me. The island vibe captured my heart immediately. Now, it is my favorite destination. Royal Kona Resort became my home away from home on my first trip. I chose this hotel because it had all the amenities I sought. This way I would not have to leave the Read on...
I departed from Nacogdoches County for a two hour drive to Cedar Creek Dragway. (I made a stop on the way in Athens, Texas to shoot the Henderson County Courthouse.) I arrived at the dragway at 12100 Kaufman County Road 2139. I paid the $20 admission fee and I was ready to scoot. (The tract opened for racing at 2 PM; with matched vehicles reserved at 4 PM.) The track manager was very helpful to Read on...
I, Susan, woke up this morning to the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. The pictures dont do it justice. Not long thereafter, I was able to snap a picture of a Polish lighthouse with the light on. Then we passed the WWII memorial, this is where WWII started when Germany invaded Poland. Of course, Claire called me and said, did you see the monument?. Well of course I did, what a great mornin Read on...
I went to a football match today . It has been a long time but I found myself in the stands watching the beautiful game. Something different to travelling and the first event of the year where crowds have been allowed to gather to watch a football match. We were sitting up in the gods . Row X - we couldnt get any higher if we tried . We were waiting for the game to start . We had arrived early. We Read on...

I also very much liked the Italianate stye of the building. The hotel is a bit removed from the historic center of Florence We found it to be about a 12 block walk from Piazza della Repubblica at the edge if the historic center to the hotel. A real Read on...
Borgholm is a rather nice place to walk around in. The church in the town centre has a style that is a bit interesting We are now going to write about the rest of what we saw and did when we visited land. In the title we claim that it covers the southern half of the island. Please dont look too closely at a map. Because we have taken some liberty with what actually is in the north and in the sout Read on...
Today we split up and did different things. Don got up at 4:30 am and drove 1.5 hours to Saint Andrews to try to play the old course. Unfortunately, only the people who basically spent the night in the queue were able to get a spot so about noon, he headed back. Im the meantime, I packed up our laundry and went to a local laundrette. It was a nice relaxing morning with my book. When Don got back Read on...
Gestern machte ich wieder einen Ausflug in die Berge. ber Murnau fuhr ich nach Oberammergau, wo das Pilatushaus und das Festspielhaus die Highlights darstellen.
