Seventeen hours on a coach is no ones idea of a good time, but if anything could be worth such an extended period of purgatory it would surely be the chance to indulge in a few days of leisurely sailing through a tropical archipelago. And having spent the previous two weeks giving both my upper body (on my Noosa River kayak trip) and then my lower body (on the Cooloola Great Walk) a workout, I fig Read on...
Woke up to a glorious beautiful sunny day in Libby Montana. The weather was warmer and we were ready for a fun ride. Phil and Gale met the owner of the RV park in Libby who is a cyclist and he said he would like to ride part way with us today. He showed us a back road with fantastic scenery to get us back onto Route 37. Andy was from South Carolina and now owns and manages the RV in Libby. He told Read on...

I finally figured out how to get to Santorini: ferry early morning to Naxos then high speed ferry. So I scheduled my friendly taxi driver at 5 am, got up, dressed, grabbed my backpack and left my humble cave. Soon after my start down the stone stairs, I full on fell forward, with no way to stop due to being loaded down. Hard on my knee, twisted my ankle and scraped my elbow. Great start. Ahhh . . . the travel days. Im so happy that I was able to sneak this one in. I took the opportunity to get away during our spring break from March Any later and I wouldnt have gotten any international travel in for 2020. I had no idea how I would fill the middle part of my trip. I started, as you know, in Frankfurt. Though mostly a large, cold metropolis, it seems to be developing a heart. I even found a Chinese hot pot restaurant near my hotel. One of my primary reasons for visiting is to make a return visit to the little town of Rudesheim, on the Rhine. I last visited in 1971, on my very first trip to Europe. I Read on...
